Chicken Counting Fun!

First Day At School
We had a great first day at school! We were very busy. First we used construction materials as part of our morning activities.
We learned how to say good morning in sign language.
Afterwards we played a web game to show how all the members of the class are connected and how we have to work together to help each other.
We also learned a Ugandan welcoming song. It was a very productive morning!
At snack time we looked at our new Twitter account and wrote our first ever tweet! That was really exciting. If you want to see what we did, you can check us out at @ceceliaclass. After break, we did some senior infant writing, revised counting in maths and did some Irish with Rocaí. Finally we did some art where we got to design our own person to hang in the 'Team Senior Infants' class bunting. It was a really fun day but we were all exhausted by the end of it. Here's hoping tomorrow is just as good! :-)

The site is based in America so the sound based activities aren’t as useful as the other areas but I would really recommend the activities based upon nursery rhymes and the graded readers – under the links ‘Guided Reading: Kindergarden’ and also the ‘Learning Activities’.
