Tricky Words - only and old!

Today we learned two new tricky words - only and old. See if you can remember how to spell them!

Extending patterns

Today we played a pattern game in maths. You start off with easy ones but if you're really good, you can move onto trickier and trickier ones!

We even did some of the 'tough ones' in class! It's a good way to get our brains working! :-)

Diwali!

The Hindu festival of lights - Diwali started yesterday (Sunday the 3rd of November). It will be continuing for the next 5 days.

Today in class we watched a video about the story of Diwali (the Ramayana) and learned a little about how Hindus celebrate this important festival. Here is a video showing one version of the Ramayana.

You can learn about how Hindus celebrate Diwali here.

Finally, here is a video showing some celebrations from India.

We will also be making Rangoli patterns later this week!
